At the bottom of the lake
Where most light has gone
I mesmerize with my thoughts
And I find a dark spot
At the bottom of the lake I am
And here I find inertia
And fears unovercome
Presents left undone
At the bottom of the lake
When you might think
You cannot possibly
Sink any lower
Well you sink even lower
You’re going down down down
To the utmost
Bottom of the lake
All is dark and quiet and deadened
Movements are slow Lights subdued
Your vision blurred Your eyes bloodshot
You find no living mammals here
What are you doing here
At the bottom of this lake
Nuclear waste Your gut’s distaste
Debris and ruins of years and years
Cans and dust and lifeless rusty old
Copper pots gone green
Almost gone gone gone
At the bottom of the lake
Stagnation and remainders of
Your days in the light
Reminding you of
The love love love
The bottom of the lake
That’s where I’m at
The bottom of the lake
That’s where I’m at
So be at the bottom of the lake
So be at the bottom of the lake
So be at the bottom of the lake
So be at the bottom of the lake
You hardly make a sound
Your feet will touch the ground
Your ground
Feel your ground
Nowhere to go but up
Nowhere to go but up
You’ll find there’s life like yours
On the shores
Of this lake of yours
Mammal life like yours
On the shores
Of this lake of yours
